In short: We use strictly necessary cookies to run the basket, checkout and accounts, plus Stripe’s fraud-prevention cookies at checkout. Optional third-party cookies, such as the Trustpilot widget, are only set if you agree. You can change your choice at any time.
This policy explains the cookies used on petmonkey.co.uk, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR. A cookie is a small text file that your browser stores on your device.
Your choice
When you first visit, a cookie banner asks for your choice:
- Essential only allows strictly necessary cookies only.
- Accept all also allows optional third-party cookies.
Optional cookies are not set unless you choose “Accept all”. The site works fully with essential cookies only.

These cookies are needed for the shop to work, for example to remember your basket and keep you logged in. The law does not require consent for them, but we list them so you know what they do.

Stripe fraud-prevention cookies
Stripe, our card payment provider, sets these cookies on the checkout page only. They help prevent fraud and are strictly necessary for taking card payments securely.

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.
